Hiroshi Kaneyasu

Part of a younger generation of artists experimenting with the popular Japanese vegetable lacquer urushi, Hiroshi Kaneyasu explores the hidden ways human nature enhances natural material. Hailing from the Ishikawa Prefecture’s city of Kanazawa, which is renowned for its lacquer work tradition, his works have been exhibited in Tokyo and Milan.
