Afsaneh Modiramani

Intertwining her creative journey with learnings from the past, weaver Afsaneh Modiramani studied Persian handicrafts at the Art University of Isfahan. Motivated by a the sense of duty to preserve her craft, her intuitive approach threads decoration with abstraction, embracing the tattered while celebrating colour. She is the recipient of awards from the World Crafts Council and UNESCO.
